Every batch is tested via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to verify minimum 0.3% nepetalactone content — the active compound cats respond to. Unlike commodity catnip that can sit in warehouses for years losing potency, our catnip is cold-milled and packaged within 90 days of harvest to preserve maximum aromatic potency. Feather attachments are our most rigorously tested component. Each barb undergoes pull-strength testing (15N+ minimum before detachment), and all feather lots are sterilized and inspected for quill integrity. For small-part safety per 16 CFR 1501 and EN71-1, every component — bells, plastic eyes, feather assemblies, breakaway parts — must exceed the 31.7mm small-parts cylinder threshold or be eliminated from the design. IP protection is non-negotiable. We sign an NNN (Non-Use, Non-Disclosure, Non-Circumvention) agreement before you share any design files. We can work within your existing patent filing process and provide technical documentation (CAD files, material specs, assembly diagrams) to support your IP applications. All factory staff sign individual confidentiality agreements for client-specific projects.
