Certified Yarn — custom knit toy manufacturing by LeelineToys
01

Certified Yarn

Every order starts with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, colorfast yarn — combed cotton & organic cotton, merino/wool blends, or acrylic — matched to your Pantone and pre-washed so nothing bleeds.

  • Colorfast to ISO 105
  • Color-matched to your brand
  • Pre-washed, azo-dye-free
Machine-Knit — custom knit toy manufacturing by LeelineToys
02

Machine-Knit

Our knitters build the body to your stitch, gauge, and pattern — every piece tension-checked so it comes out identical and stuffing never pokes through the fabric.

  • Tension-checked
  • Identical across the run
  • Your stitch, not a stock pattern
Stuff & Shape — custom knit toy manufacturing by LeelineToys
03

Stuff & Shape

Filling is measured and evenly distributed with hypoallergenic PP-cotton, so the toy holds its shape for years — no lumps, no fill poking out, no loose stuffing.

  • Hypoallergenic PP-cotton
  • Shape-retention tested
  • 3+ wash-cycle recovery
Stitch the Face — custom knit toy manufacturing by LeelineToys
04

Stitch the Face

Eyes, smile, blush, and your brand mark are stitched by hand — nothing glued, nothing detachable, nothing a newborn can reach. Every face is placed consistently.

  • Hand-embroidered
  • Nothing detachable
  • Consistent face placement

Materials & Safety

Yarn & Filling That Touch a Baby

Every yarn, filling, and finding is tested and certified — because 'good enough' never is.

Cotton & Organic Cotton Yarns

Cotton & Organic Cotton Yarns

Soft, breathable combed cotton is the go-to for baby toys — GOTS organic cotton for eco-conscious brands, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified for skin contact, and colorfast to ISO 105 so colors stay bright through washing.

Merino & Wool Blends

Merino & Wool Blends

A knit of merino or wool blended with acrylic gives a denser, cozier hand-feel with natural flame-resistance (EN71-2 pass). Ideal for premium keepsake bears and winter-friendly mascots where texture quality is the selling point.

Hypoallergenic PP-Cotton Filling

Hypoallergenic PP-Cotton Filling

Polyester PP-cotton fill that is hypoallergenic, washable, and evenly distributed so the toy keeps its shape after years of hugs. Tested for fiber shedding and loft retention, with a guaranteed 3+ wash-cycle recovery so it never goes lumpy.

Embroidered Eyes & Wooden Rings

Embroidered Eyes & Wooden Rings

Eyes and features are stitched, never glued or pinned, so nothing a baby can reach detaches. For teething lines we add smooth, splinter-free wooden rings — FSC-certified and EN71-safe for the youngest age group.

Findings & Accessories

Findings & Accessories

Every ribbon, rattle insert, and wooden ring is CPSIA-compliant, baby-friendly, and pull-tested to ASTM F963 — attached by stitching, never glue.

Quality Gates

Five Gate Tests Before They Ship

Standard QC isn't enough for a toy a toddler will press against their face. These gates are what separate a 'safe' knit toy from a LeelineToys knit toy.

01 OEKO-TEX 100 / ISO 105

Yarn & Dye Certification

Every yarn lot is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and tested to ISO 105-C10 for dye fastness to water, sweat, and rubbing. A 24-hour immersion at 37°C confirms zero dye migration onto skin, so colors stay bright and safe through washing and long play.

02 ASTM F963 / CPSIA

Small-Parts & Choking Test

Every eye, button, and wooden ring passes the 16 CFR 1501 small-parts cylinder (31.7mm) for the youngest age group. Anything that fits is redesigned or eliminated. Features are embroidered rather than sewn-on where possible, so nothing a newborn can reach can detach.

03 In-House Needle Detection

Needle-Detection & Metal Scan

Every finished toy passes a full metal-detection gate to catch any broken needle or pin from the knitting and stuffing process. Items are batched and scanned once at seaming and once just before packing, so nothing with a stray metal fragment ships.

04 ASTM F963 / EN71-1

Pull-Force & Seam Integrity

Seams and attached features are pull-tested to a minimum 40N (about 4kg) per ASTM F963 attachment-protocol. Repeated 2,000-cycle open/close testing confirms the stitch holds without fatigue, and stuffing is checked for fiber shedding so no fill escapes.

05 EN71-2 / CE

Washability & Flammability

Toys are machine-wash tested to 10 cycles at 30°C without pilling, seam failure, or color loss — because parents will wash them. Yarns and filling are batch-tested to EN71-2 for flammability. Each batch ships with full compliance documentation pre-filed per market.

In Their Words

What Knit Toy Buyers Say About Working Direct

Every other factory wanted a 500-unit commitment for our first knit doll line. LeelineToys started us at 100 units off a 6-day prototype we approved on the first look, embroidered our logo on the paw, and shipped the OEKO-TEX and EN71 paperwork with the goods — so my retail buyer sign-off was painless. The first order landed on day 23, sold through in six weeks, and they split our three reorders across colorways so each warehouse got the mix it needed.

Founder, Wool & Wonder Toys

Boutique gift shops and a growing e-commerce store need knit toys that read handmade, not mass-produced. LeelineToys matched our Pantones on the yarn, embroidered the eyes and stitched the face on every piece, and delivered 1,200 bears in 24 days at a <1% defect rate — with EN71 and CE documentation pre-filed for each market. Our retail partners ask for them by name, and the next reorder is already planned.

Custom Knitting Toys Manufacturing FAQ

Everything You Need to Know About Custom Knit Toy Manufacturing

A custom knitting toys manufacturer designs and produces knitted toys to a brand's exact brief — knit dolls and amigurumi, teddy bears, plush animals, baby toys & rattles, mobiles, and mascots. We handle OEM/ODM from a sketch: yarn selection, stitch & pattern, facial features, personalization, and retail-ready packaging. Every toy is handmade-finished, so no two runs look "factory-stamped".

Every knitted toy is manufactured to meet EN71 (Europe), ASTM F963 (U.S.), CPSIA, and ISO 8124 standards. Yarns and filling are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — phthalate-free, formaldehyde-free, and azo-dye-free. We run the 16 CFR 1501 small-parts cylinder test, a full needle-detection metal scan, and embroider features instead of using detachable plastic parts. Each shipment includes full compliance documentation with test reports and material traceability from ISO 17025-accredited labs such as SGS and Intertek.

You're looking at one — a factory-direct knitted stuffed animal manufacturer in China. Unlike traders who broker the order, we manufacture in-house: knit, stuff, stitch, and pack under one roof. That gives you traceable yarn lots and a single accountable partner from prototype to delivered cargo.

Our MOQ is 300 units per design — well below the industry standard. This lets toy brands and boutique retailers test a design, and lets crowdfunding creators start with a small run. You can also order a single prototype with no obligation to proceed. For wholesale or catalog projects we scale up to 5,000+ units without re-tooling, and we can split a single order across colorways, sizes, and markets.

A knit toy prototype takes 5–7 days, or up to 10 days for a heavily detailed or multi-piece design. Add 24–48 hours for DHL/FedEx shipping. Bulk production runs 20–25 days from prototype approval, depending on order size and stitch complexity. A typical project of 300–1,000 toys ships within 30–40 days from concept. Rush service is available for tight seasonal or campaign deadlines.

Yes — personalization is a signature. We embroider a child's name, initials, or your brand logo on a paw, ear, or belly, and can add custom hang tags, labels, and gift packaging. We can replicate a specific character or mascot, and add features like a stitched smile or glass-free embroidered eyes. Two revision rounds are included with each prototype.

We use combed cotton and GOTS organic cotton yarns (OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified), merino/wool blends, and acrylic blends — all colorfast to ISO 105. Filling is hypoallergenic PP-cotton that is washable and keeps its loft. For teething lines we add FSC-certified wooden rings. Every material is pre-washed, tested for chemical migration and heavy metals, and we never use PVC, BPA, or phthalates.

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before any design review, and your project runs on a dedicated production line with physical design isolation. Exclusivity agreements prevent your design from being shown, replicated, or sold to other buyers. We transfer pattern and tooling ownership to you in writing, and retain your files for 5 years with batch-level traceability — so you can reorder and iterate without paying a ransom for your own design.

Absolutely. Options include gift boxes with window cutouts for retail shelf appeal, eco-friendly kraft boxes with FSC certification, hang tags with safety warnings and tracking labels, and bilingual labels for multi-market distribution. We can pack gift-ready (custom inserts, thank-you cards) for your storefront, pre-pack for Amazon FBA, or ship direct to individual backers or customers. We handle CPSIA tracking-label requirements for U.S.-bound products.

We ship factory-direct with FOB, CIF, or DDP terms. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means customs, duties, and taxes are handled for you — the lowest-friction option for global buyers, and we ship to 45+ countries. Pricing is transparent and factory-direct: you get a breakdown of sample fee, tooling (if any), per-unit cost, packaging, and shipping. Sample costs are credited toward your production order, and unit price scales down with volume.

One Factory. Your Pattern. Knit to Order.

Tell us about your custom knitting toys project. You'll get a free safety assessment, yarn recommendations, and a transparent cost breakdown — all within 24 hours. Start with a 5–7 day prototype, then approve before bulk. No commitment, no pressure.
